Using the adventure mode

As the types of driving are different on track, on road and off-road, it is essential to adapt to each practice to guarantee optimal detection of falls and accidents.

In&motion has therefore developed a new detection mode dedicated to off-road use, available in all countries, for all products equipped with In&motion technology (see product page). This new mode is available as an option at a price of €25.00 per year or €8.00 per month. To find out how to get Adventure mode, click here.

Adventure mode is designed for Trail, Leisure Enduro, Cross-Country Rally practice on drivable paths.

Warning: It must not be used for other practices: Motocross, Hard Enduro, Trial, Freestyle, Flat-Track, Impossible Climb… Indeed, these disciplines include riding techniques (jumps, crossing obstacles: rocks, tree trunks, etc., speed competitions on closed circuits, etc.) which are not considered by the detection conditions of Adventure mode.

THE IN&MOTION AIRBAG SYSTEM CAN THEREFORE BE WORN FOR OFF-ROAD USE PROVIDED THAT THE TYPE OF RIDING RESPECTS THE RIGHT CONDITIONS OF USE OF THE ADVENTURE MODE
USE ON DRAVABLE TRACKS:

Adventure mode designed to be used only for off-road practice on unpaved roads that would be suitable for standard automobile  (ie a public road wider than a path and which is not designed for vehicle traffic in general.)

Only roads open to traffic, registered as suitable for vehicles, are authorized for motorcycling. By definition, a drivable track is passable by car. Drivable paths can be composed of gravel, pebbles, earth, mud, sand…

TECHNICAL SPECIFICITIES

WARNING:

  • In order to benefit from the best possible detection conditions, it is essential to change detection mode as soon as you change practice. Indeed, each detection mode is designed to be adapted to a very specific practice: if you are driving off-road your system must be in Adventure mode and if you go on the road your system must be in Road mode!
  • For safety reasons, wearing an airbag is incompatible with wearing a Neck Brace (Cervical Protection).
  • Finally, remember to always wear your airbag system under abrasion-resistant clothing.
DETECTION CONDITIONS

The settings of this detection mode differ from Street mode to adapt to “Off-road” type use with more vibrations, situations of limited grip, light jumps while integrating loss of balance at low speed not causing the need for inflation.

Falls are part of the off-road practice. It is important to inflate when necessary and not to inflate on all falls (falling when stopped, loss of balance, etc.). The airbag is triggered if the fall requires inflation.

As a reminder, the triggering of the airbag does not depend only on the speed and the angle but also and above all on the situation, the context, etc.
