In&motion announces its strategic innovation partnership with Decathlon, the global multi-sport brand known for its commitment to making sport accessible to as many people as possible.
In&motion and Decathlon share a common ambition: to democratise the most advanced protection technologies and make them accessible to everyone who practises a sport, from beginners to expert enthusiasts, as well as urban mobility users. The goal is clear: to enable everyone to practise, progress and get around with confidence, with protection from the most advanced airbag technology on the market.
This partnership embodies a co-innovation approach: designing useful, practical and scalable solutions together, for safer sport and mobility.
In practice, it combines In&motion’s technological expertise with Decathlon’s in-depth knowledge of how people practise sport.
Decathlon’s design teams have rethought the equipment to ensure comfort, freedom of movement and optimal integration of the electronic airbag in real-world use.
The Fouganza airbag vest reinvents safety on horseback. This electronic airbag, with no lanyard and no external sensors, detects falls and protects in 60 milliseconds, even when there is no separation from the horse. It protects the rider’s vital areas: back, thorax, abdomen and neck, while offering comfort and breathability. The first airbag certified for both horse riding and urban mobility, it can also accompany its user on everyday journeys by bike or e-scooter.

The B’TWIN airbag vest, designed for bike and e-scooter users, is built to make everyday urban and suburban journeys safer. This electronic airbag, with no lanyard and no external sensors, protects the back, thorax, abdomen and neck. Lightweight and ergonomic, it offers comfort, breathability and freedom of movement.

These first launches mark the start of a broader development programme. Further applications and products will enrich this collaboration to extend smart protection to new sports and forms of mobility.
